Privacy policy

This site is operated by AppRealm, based in Sri Lanka. For anything in this policy, contact app.realm.ar@gmail.com.

Nothing, if you only read. You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name or any personal detail to browse the site.

Your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter. We store the address, the date you signed up, and whether you confirmed it. We use it for one thing: sending the newsletter you asked for.

Usage data, through the third parties below. This typically includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site you arrived from.

We use two third-party services that set cookies or collect usage data:

Google Analytics — measures how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and shares data with Google. See Google's privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites with Google's browser add-on.

Google AdSense — if and when advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can control this at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

If you are in the EU, UK, or another region requiring consent, we ask before loading any of these. Declining does not limit what you can read — the site works exactly the same either way.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your email address with anyone. We do not build advertising profiles ourselves, and we do not attempt to identify individual readers.

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe we retain the address in an opt-out state rather than deleting it — that is how we make sure we do not email you again if the address is ever re-submitted. Ask us and we will erase it entirely.

Google retains analytics data according to its own policies, not ours.

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email app.realm.ar@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Readers in Sri Lanka have rights under the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022. Readers in the EU or UK have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Readers in California have rights under the CCPA, including to know what is collected and to opt out of any sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information.

Every newsletter carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and it works without needing to contact us.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us an email address, tell us and we will remove it.

Most links here lead to news publishers we do not control. Once you follow one, that publisher's privacy policy applies, not ours.
